Thats the fuckin question. I'm just rantin at the mo but I know there something else I want or need to say but I am not sure what it is.
Anyway colaberations........ a mixture of different styles combined , that exel in a ertain subject, or just people that can only exel in one thing and unite to make a cause? Thats proberbaly goin to sound fuckin harsh BUT I will be the first to admit that I'm good a knocking out a drum loop but yet fail to make a bass sequence.
Do people that exel in one subject NEED the back up of another that execels in the opposite? Or should people be left to do their own thing and grow as themselves and learn and develop theie own "styles"?
Or should people mbrace each others skills and unite under an emblem or signiture, like someone marking a place he holds close to his heart? As in a graff artist sprayin his street?

it depends on the individual dont it really and how you get on and what you think of each other having the brutal honesty too say nar thats shit to each other like you would too yourself is a must but i also think if you persevere you will crack the bass patterns
strive for perfection man its the only way if that means solo or not
I think it's happening more now with todays software allowing real-time jamming and recording 'on the fly'.
Laptop jamming using ableton etc seems to be one logical progression to unlock creative skills and keeps things more spontaneous.
It's about where your at with production skills, it takes a long time to build up a library of original beats/bass lines/pads/vocals/loops etc - once you have the 'content' along side using a combination of sequencers/VSTI's etc to achive that sound your looking for.
horses for courses
