There aren't many free stream hosts out there, so I hope someone finds it useful as a first step towards setting up an internet radio station.

When did you try it? No one else has had buffering.

I've spent £1,000s over the years on ukbass and I rarely use it to promote anything, I think I'm entitled to do so occasionally - especially when it's a free service.

Yeh, Lame encoding for mp3 - it's the standard format.

Why are you always digging at Gav, Elric? He does own this Station... so he can do what he likes. Besides, he's one of the coolest people I know, so I don't get where you seem to keep coming from with your regular moodiness.

Very nice Gav. I've been using the station Elric uses. Of course (and believe me when I say) I am not comparing apples to oranges with the differences between services!!! I saw your post and I think it's an incredible offer. Thank you.

I will comment however on this sudden burst of disdain towards Elric. Like CJ to Gav- I think Elric's a cool guy and have gotten to know him pretty well recently. I will say the whole "lame" comment was a bit uncalled for, but I think that's the result of some underlying communication errors that took place in the chat some time ago.
But that's not my business.
I'd just like to see some people understand each other so we can get back to business.

I'm glad you like it. There aren't that many differences between this and other services, except for the flash player and ability to link direct to the stream, but it's good for anyone that wants to experiment with streaming.



People will probably be more welcoming to him if he stops coming in the chatroom with the sole intention of causing bad vibes (under his many aliases). I've deleted 5 or 6 of the accounts that he uses to cause shit and am very close to banning him completely so the rest of us can get on with our lives.

I don't know why he comes into the chatroom on my wednesday shows to cause bad vibes as well as the friday show.

The 'lame' comment was just one in a long line of digs aimed towards myself as well as a number of other ukbass DJs. I can see exactly what he's doing trying to get some supporters together to back him up every time he causes shit - I have noticed that he's careful about what he says when certain people are in the chatroom and suddenly becomes the victim.

As this post suggests, the vast majority of people want him banned and to never come back. I've never banned people without good reason before and I've given Elric far more leeway than I normally would. I often don't even kick him out of the chatroom when he's being abusive as I prefer to let him hang himself, which he often does.

My patience is, however, wearing very thin and he's closer than he probably realises to being permanently banned from the site. To Elric and anyone else that is unhappy with that, there are plenty of other websites and radio stations on the net.

Fairplay Gav. You're absolutely correct in saying that if someone does'nt like this site- they can push off.
Personally, I hope that where things began to deteriorate between Elric & company gets ironed out.
Yeah, I'm the guys friend, but I like to consider MANY people here my friend too and I'm not playing favorites here.

First off- I consider him a friend and I don't make friends with morons!
As far as him being high on himself- that's not something I've noticed or I would've had to agree with ya. Simple as that.
Different personality types frequent this site and not everyone's gonna be cool with each other.
I guess it's a simple case of "agree to disagree".
What's best for the masses? Not my call.
I do believe that IF this was caused by a communication error, it should (and could) be worked out.
