Any but Andy C , I think he's over-rated... and I wouldn't play £1500 for a set off him, when you can get me for nowt... And I'll still rinse it hahaha... Who needs dubs when all you need is da magic fingers and some wax. I do think Friction has a done a lot for 2005 going in2 2006 though, whilst Andy C isn't making tunes anymore... but you gotta admit it to Andy that Circles remix by himself is baddddd, and as for Mampi Swift.. well... THE ONE??? hahaha...They are probably all as good as each other, but within their own ways Smile

wel im not gonna get into how much they get paid, (too much lol)

ok for raw mixin skill prob Mampi Swift, Andy is dam good too course, as for Friction i just think hes over-hyped.

They are just the popular names tho, my personal favorite D&B djs are people noones ever heard of, i think its about time D&B stopped being so close-knit and started welcoming new DJs and Producers.

Compared to other scenes d&b seems to be tied down to the big name DJs if ya kno what i mean.

anyways mini-rant over lol Twisted Evil

jus replying to wat terraformer said and i think ur absolutely right, promoters arent letting enuff new djs and producers through, wen i go raving u can pretty much work out whos gonna b on the flyer and if this keeps happening then the scene is nt gonna move on and thats bad, hopefully this year will b different bt i wuldnt bank on it. safe for all ur comments

sorry - but there's space to make it on the scene, u just need to be an A1 producer first....peeps measure dj skills after that.

the dnb scene is relatively small so promoters won't take a risk on puttin 'no-names' on a flyer since they will not draw a crowd. Put a big name on and u will fill the place.

Think about it - in 98 peeps said it was a closed scene...then bad company made 'the 9'.....a couple of years ago peeps said it was a closed scene, then logisitcs showed us his stuff...and Friction etc....now peeps say its a closed scene...wierd how AI got big, Subfocus stepped up and *ahem* Pendulum stepped up.

the truth is that bein a big name dj ain't just about bein a dj. in some cases it ain't even about being good on the dex.

As for Andy C, Friction and Mampi - full respect to all 3. Wicked tunes, wicked mixin, wicked production, wicked record labels, wicked vibes...
