Jungle, drum and bass, WHATS THE DIF

A friend of mine and I are at the moment havin a bit of an orgument over sometin. we both only start listening to DnB beats resently. he say jungle ad drum and bass are the same thing, I on the other hand disagree. |

jungle was first invented around the early-mid 90's and was basically dark or rugged beats with heavy basslines (some ragga vocals on them sometimes). (it is also quite abit slower than drum and bass) then drum and bass evolved from jungle in the mid - late 90's and is still in full swing today.

People still use the term jungle to describe todays beats, but for purposes of distinction it is usually used in the way Zero describes. |
